Compare the meerkat.com

In our media lesson we got the oppurtunity to meet Cliff Hall who is the man who came up with puttin alexander the rich and ur a ala beleaver famous meerkat on his advert. Cliff hall was generous to come to our media class and tell us all about the advert industry. He showed us a table called a methodology table which included the steps on what an advert must contain and what it should include.

school's out

In our media class we got an oppurtunity to go to sunny hill primary school to aske questions about some of the anxiety they ahve about school or other school mates. before we went to sunny hill primary school we ahd to plan out who was doing what. people who were doing the survey were Akhilesh, Fatmata and Fuduma. people who were doing questions to ask students/teachers was me (ibu) and Tkeyah. Jordan and Ellie decided to an itroduction to introduce everyone in our media class. when we went into sunnny hill primary school we were a bit uncomfortable but after a while we got use to it. we started to ask varieties of questions and writing down the comments given to us by the students. one of the questions we asked was what is your favourite subject? when i asked this question the subject wich came up the most was ICT. after finishing asking the questions to te students we then let the children settle down in the middle of the classroom and we got to reads to them. The first person who got to read t0o the students was Ellie. The second person who was suppose to read was Akhilesh but he was so shy to read i thought i could read to the children instead. it was great fun to read to the students and hear about the cicumstances of being in primary school. i hope we get another oppurtunity to visit sunny hill primary school.

Human Rights

In our media lesson we got the oppurtunity to go out to Ritzy (which is located in Brixton) to watch a human rights fiolm which involved a lot of varieties of matters going on round the country from a parent selling their daughter to get money and food to feed the rest of the family to black people and other different backgrounds being mistreated by the police. In this blog i would talk about one of the circumstances i gave as examples.

The story i would talk about is Leila's story.
Leila's story was in based in her country. It was so hot that crops weren't able to grow properly so everyone was affected by it. One day Leila's mum went out to buy some food from the merchant but the food was expensive and her mum couldn't afford it for her mum had 7 mouths to feed. The merchant took advantage of the mother had an idea which was if she sold her daughter to him, he would give her the food that she needed without thinking about it the mother agreed with the idea the merchant had shared. The merchant said he would look after Leila like she was his own and he kept that promise at first. But then he started to turn wicked and started given Leila jobs that she couldn't handle like giving her harvy things to carry. One day Leila couldn't cope and collapsed onto the ground. the merchant got so angry that he turned Leila into a donkey which meant that Leila could cope with the weight but without any rest Leila again collapsed except this time sehe went unconcious. The merchant thought Leila was dead so he left her there and ran away. Later on that day a samaritan came along and gave Leila which she needed which was water and after drinking some water Leila became more better. Leila wanted to communicate with the good samaritan so she wrote her name on the sand. As soon as the samaritan saw this he got so happy he wanted to show the whole villiage the amazing site. Everyone ran round Leila and she wrote her name on the sand again, everyone was amazed except for the wise man. He said Leila was a girl so the wise man tapped leila on her back and Leila turned back into herself again. The wise man took Leila back to her parents and they lived happily ever after.

while watching this video i felt empathy for Leila and the family and how they felt about the situationa that was going on.
